Police say a man dressed as a woman repeatedly crashed his car into a suburban Detroit lingerie store that had refused to hire him earlier this year.

Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe says 27-year-old Jeremy McIntosh was arrested Saturday night outside the Intimate Ideas store in Commerce Township, 25 miles northwest of Detroit. Damage to the store was estimated at $3,000.

McCabe says McIntosh was wearing "facial makeup, lipstick, blue Capri pants, red ‘flip-flops,’ a flowery blouse and a matching flowery women’s bra." McIntosh told deputies he is homeless and wanted to go to jail because he had nowhere else to go.

McIntosh remained jailed after his Monday arraignment on charges including malicious destruction of property and reckless driving. McCabe says McIntosh doesn’t have a lawyer yet.

A Danish organizations has rented spots that could hold a total of 45 urns specifically for gays and lesbians.  The spots go for about $565.  The area is separated from the rest of the cemetery by a large triangle of pebbles on the group, with a huge rock on one of the angles.

"We founded an association called Regnbuen (Rainbow) and our goal is that gays and lesbians can be buried next to each other,” Ivan Larsen said.

"The triangle is our old symbol, but it is also a sign of suffering,” Mr Larsen said.

The rainbow flag, a universal symbol for homosexuals representing diversity, would be placed on the rock, he said.

"We don’t want to isolate ourselves but we also feel a need to be together. We see this as a family grave, one that will be taken care of by our family,” said Mr Larsen.

prideAs a part of "Wacky Week" at an elementary school in Wisconsin, the students are encouraged to come to school dressed as the opposite sex.  On the day the students came to school dressed up, a local resident called a Milwaukee-based radio station, the Voice of Christian Youth America, to complain.  The radio station criticized the school on nine of its stations throughout Wisconsin.

After the program aired, the school and school district office were flooded with calls and complaints.  Although the event was not called off, the school has decided not to hold the event again.
